Bots

When there are insufficient human players in a world, the server will fill out the teams with bots. Depending on the world number and time of day it is likely bots make up most of the players in a game. These A.I. players can be identified by their unusual names, which are randomly generated in the form <adjective> <noun>.

Bots can do anything human players can do, including upgrading their ships, using skills, placing turrets, and even using emoji. A small amount of strategy is coded into the bots' A.I., but they are generally outclassed by human players.

Humans pretending to be bots[]

Some clever human players have used handles that seem like bot names as a form of disguise. These players can be quickly identified by watching their unusual movements. When bots change direction and move as a group they will go in a different direction. Another sign is that humans pretending to be bots will not typically use emojis at all unlike bots.
